Curriculum partnership · Web3 / blockchain · Multi-cohort

Our methodology, taught end-to-end as a public curriculum.

A twelve-week Web3 startup curriculum operated as a Prota Ventures partnership with Wire Network. Validation methodology adapted for community-classroom delivery, with $100K demo-day checks and Wire Grants for top teams.

Challenge

Wire Network, a Layer-1 blockchain protocol, wanted a public, community-based startup program that would shape Web3 builders from idea to demo-day in twelve weeks. The methodology had to be rigorous enough to produce fundable teams, accessible enough for builders new to Web3, and scaffolded with enough structure to run weekly across a multi-cohort audience. The validation question for us was operational: does our methodology hold up when adapted from single-client engagements to a community-classroom format?

Solution

A twelve-week curriculum delivered through weekly live sessions on Discord, recorded and archived to a Notion home with downloadable tools and templates. Prota Ventures hosts; Wire Network provides BD, marketing, and community infrastructure; external experts cover the technically-deep modules.

The curriculum walks teams across the full lifecycle of a Web3 startup:

  1. Program introduction and team structure.
  2. Idea refinement, assumptions, audience, persona, user journey, customer interviews, demand testing, product one-pager, competitive matrix. The validation core; closest mapping to our Learning Sprint methodology.
  3. The Web3 startup, taxonomy, decentralization levers, Web3 assumptions checklist, "why Web3?" gut-check.
  4. How to incorporate, Day One Law as external expert.
  5. Tokenization, Denarii Labs as external expert.
  6. Building in public.
  7. Building modern products, AMA with Wire / Prota leadership on validation-as-discipline-in-the-AI-era.
  8. Go-to-market.
  9. Fundraising and pitching.
  10. Demo Day, vetted applicant register, $100K checks for top teams, Wire Grants.

Methodology adaptation

Validation methodology as Week 2

The Idea Refinement session, assumptions, audience, persona, user journey, customer interviews, demand testing, product one-pager, competitive matrix, is recognizably the same toolkit that lives in our Learning Sprint, adapted for a Web3 audience and community-classroom delivery format.

Skill-bundle candidate

Web3 Assumptions Checklist

A Web3-flavored layer added in Week 3, taxonomy, decentralization levers, Web3 assumptions checklist, "why Web3?" gut-check. Operationally compatible with our Step 1 Assumptions framework rather than displacing it.

Six-axis framework

Decentralization Levers Scorecard

A six-axis framework, Governance, IP, Revenue, Ownership, Membership, Identity, that surfaces which dimensions of a venture genuinely benefit from decentralization. Portable beyond Web3.

Outcomes proof

Demo Day vetting register

A vetted applicant register, $100K checks for top teams, Wire Grants. The structured progression from Week-2 idea refinement to Week-12 demo day proved the curriculum produces teams that can pitch and defend.

What this engagement says about partnership programs.

Curriculum-as-product is a delivery format Prota Studios doesn't currently sell but has now operationally proven. Whether to productize it, as a venture-side accelerator program parallel to Learning Sprint and Continuous Validation, is an open strategic question. The methodology evidence is in.
